Wipeout silent movie review
I really liked the Wipeout silent movie, I think that it is a really good concept and I enjoyed the plot. Each person portraying a drastically different character was one of the parts I enjoyed the most, I liked the contrast between each character. One of the strengths in this movie was the editing of the video. The shots when people would wipe out and freeze in mid air was definitely one of the strong points. This was very effective because it wouldn't look fake when they fell. I also liked the music that accompanied the movie. The things that the actors did corresponded to the music very well, which was also due to editing. Another strength was how different the characters were from one another. For example there was a big contrast between the old man and the fat man even though they were played by the same person. This was true for all of the characters.
One of the weaknesses in this silent movie was the lack of a proper ending. I think that they could have made the winner go last, or have a ceremony where they give the only person who completed the course a medal or some sort of recognition for winning. Another thing they could have done was to make a text slide at the end that showed that the nerd advanced to the next round. My overall reaction to this movie was that it was a good story that kept me interested the whole time. I think that the characters were portrayed well and that they were dramatic enough to convey the story without words.
